Associate Medical Director

The Associate Medical Director works with the scientific team, project managers, editorial teams, sales/marketing, and executive management to ensure the scientific integrity of all educational projects. The Associate Medical Director is responsible for supporting the development of quality, scientifically accurate branded and unbranded promotional and educational materials. The Associate Medical Director accomplishes this by supporting team members in all phases of activities, including researching, creating and revising scientific content.

  • Consistently develops scientific accurate content for full range of medical education programs
  • Responsible for ensuring the scientific quality and content integrity of content
  • Guides the development of content, in collaboration with Medical Director/Sr Medical Director, across a range of medical education activities and publications
  • Participates in strategic and tactical planning discussions with internal team members
  • Contributes to organic and new business initiatives, including proposals
  • Serves as an ambassador for scientific services department at external scientific and industry meetings
  • Reports to Medical Director / Sr Medical Director

Required Education/Experience:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences: PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, DPH, MPH
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in medical education; oncology experience preferred
  • Market access experience a plus
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, guidelines related to ACCME, PhRMA, FDA and OIG rules and regulations
  • Involvement (from conception through implementation) in a broad spectrum of medical education programs including congress and symposia programming, curriculum development meetings, interactive, spin-off materials, supplements, grand rounds, speaker bureaus, etc

Must be able to travel domestically and internally 10% of the time including weekends (when further travel resumes)
