Certification Manager

The Lynx Group is seeking a Certification Manager. The Certification Manager reports to the Director of Certification. The range of responsibilities for this role is diverse and thus requires thorough knowledge of the oncology and navigation landscape, process improvement, certification and accreditation fundamentals, business development, and strategic analysis.


Under the direction of the Director of Certification, participates in efforts to drive continued successful certification program development and process improvement under standards implemented through ISO/IEC 17024. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Contributes to AONN+ Foundation for Learning (FFL) strategic planning initiatives
  • Participates in Top Management planning and review
  • Manages all application intake, review, and communication processes
  • Oversees training and processes related to examination proctoring and administration
  • Manages Document Control process
  • Contributes to annual accreditation assessment and any required nonconformance review
  • Participates in Certification Advisory Commission
  • Participates in exam psychometrics evaluation
  • Oversees Exam Writing Committee leadership
  • Participates in contractor relations and oversight

AONN+ FFL Strategy and Development:

Utilizes marketplace knowledge of current issues and trends in nursing practice, navigation, education, research, healthcare administration, and health policy to enhance strategic planning initiatives and new program implementation, as determined by Director of Certification

Mentoring and Coaching:

  • Contributes to building an effective team of AONN+ FFL leaders
  • Identifies opportunities to strengthen AONN+ FFL Committee participation and provide leadership development opportunities to committee members
  • Participates in AONN+ Leadership Council calls as requested
  • Supports the development and growth of new leaders within AONN+ FFL and sister organizations through membership interactions and other engagement channels

Required Education:

Bachelor’s in Nursing

Required Skills:

  • Oncology Nursing Experience – minimum of 5 years of Oncology Navigation Experience – minimum of 3 years professional experience
  • Can respond appropriately in highly public environments and is driven to help create a world-class certification program
  • Ability to create operational processes and orchestrate process improvement measures to drive change
  • Mentoring abilities
